- Precisely fitting and easy-to-service MANN-FILTER HU 9006 z oil filter
- Bayonet fitting for safe assembly and clean filter change
- Integrated plastic sealing lip instead of o-ring
- Patented technology for maximum reliability
Ludwigsburg, October 28, 2025 – Engine oil protects the combustion engine from abrasion – but only effective filtration reliably retains contaminants and particles that could otherwise cause damage to the engine. To tackle this challenge, MANN-FILTER, the premium brand of global filtration expert MANN+HUMMEL, offers an innovative solution for agricultural machines with the HU 9006 z oil filter. The new filter in original equipment quality combines maximum safety with easy handling during service and will be available on the independent aftermarket from October 2025 for Fendt 700 Vario GEN 7 series tractors. As an OEM, MANN+HUMMEL already produces this highly efficient oil filter in series production.
Precise fit thanks to bayonet fitting
The HU 9006 z is equipped with a patented bayonet fitting. It is a quick and easy-to-use twist lock, in which the filter and housing are securely locked together with a short twisting motion. Similar to changing a camera lens, the filter clicks securely into place in the housing with a simple twist – without any screw threads or complicated tools. "This prevents the installation of filters that do not fit properly and ensures that only the correct filter is installed in the right way. This effectively prevents damage caused by incorrect filter installation," explains Daniela Knodel, Product Portfolio Manager at MANN+HUMMEL. In addition to its precise fit, the innovative oil filter also impresses with its convenient handling during servicing: when the filter module is opened, the used filter element stays in the cover thanks to the bayonet fitting. This enables easy, clean, and controlled removal – ideal for quick, safe, and error-free maintenance.
Innovative plastic sealing lip for easy servicing
The HU 9006 z is the first MANN-FILTER product to use an integrated plastic sealing lip instead of the conventional o-ring for internal sealing from the raw oil side to the clean oil side. This new solution offers several advantages in everyday workshop life. During installation, the sealing lip ensures a secure fit – the filter stays firmly and stably in position. During operation, the connection remains reliably tight. Removal is also impressive: the moderate pull-off forces make filter replacement particularly easy and clean. A further advantage is that the plastic sealing lip is firmly attached to the filter element and can therefore not be forgotten, lost or incorrectly installed.
Practical installation instructions on the packaging
"The packaging of the HU 9006 z facilitates a quick and safe filter change," adds Knodel. "We know how valuable time is in the workshop. That’s why we printed the installation instructions directly on the inner flap of the packaging – clearly visible, easily accessible, and exactly where they are needed."
Video tutorial for safe service
MANN-FILTER also provides a practical video for this oil filter. Workshops can see step by step how to professionally remove and reinstall the filter – for reliable filtration, optimal engine protection, and smooth daily operations. The video is available in the MANN-FILTER online catalog: Link
Patents
MANN+HUMMEL has received several patents from the European Patent Office and other international patent authorities for the technology of the new oil filter. This patented technology underlines the innovative power of MANN+HUMMEL and the high standards of quality and reliability.
"With the HU 9006 z, we are setting standards for functionality and ease of maintenance in everyday workshop life. Our goal was to consistently eliminate typical sources of error, such as improperly fitted filters, and to integrate all features into a single, well-designed part," concludes Knodel.
