MANN-FILTER: championship titles and Mamba Madness

Successes in the GT World Challenge Europe, fighting spirit in the DTM, and an enthusiastic fan community: the premium filter brand looks back on an intense year of motorsport in 2026.

Ludwigsburg, October 27, 2026. MANN-FILTER has had an intensive motorsport year full of emotions, challenges, and great successes. Together with WINWARD Racing and Mercedes-AMG, the premium filter brand was present on the European race tracks in both the DTM and the GT World Challenge Europe (GTWC Europe) in 2026. The GTWC Europe in particular became a real success story.

Double the championship joy in the GT World Challenge Europe

Lucas Auer and Maro Engel took part in the GTWC Europe Sprint Cup for the Mercedes-AMG Team MANN-FILTER in the yellow-green Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO #48. In the Endurance Cup's long-distance races, Luca Stolz completed the driver trio.

Lucas Auer and Maro Engel crowned their 2026 season with victory in the Overall Drivers’ Championship of the GT World Challenge Europe—the drivers' overall standings based on sprint and endurance races.

Together with Luca Stolz, they likewise won the drivers' title in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup. Furthermore, WINWARD Racing secured the title in the Endurance Cup team rankings, too.

“The final was a brutal race,” says Lucas Auer. "I had a lot of close battles during my stint, and I'm glad I was able to bring the car home. Our season was incredibly constant. For Maro and me, this is the second overall title in the GT World Challenge Europe, having also won in 2024. We harmonize perfectly. I'd also like to extend my sincere compliments to my team, Mercedes-AMG Team MANN-FILTER. Even in the most challenging races, we've always given it our all. Thank you to the whole team for this."

The 2026 season has impressively underlined the strength of the entire team and the successful cooperation between MANN-FILTER, WINWARD Racing, and Mercedes-AMG.

DTM: a season that demanded fighting spirit

The yellow-green Mamba 2026 was impossible to miss in the DTM in 2026, too. MANN-FILTER headed into its fourth DTM season alongside WINWARD Racing. At the wheel of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO #48: Jules Gounon. From a sports perspective, the season did not always go as hoped. The shared values of MANN-FILTER and motorsport were all the more in focus: speed and agility go hand in hand with team spirit and mutual trust. This also includes the determination to keep fighting in the face of setbacks and never give up.

The DTM 2026 ran through Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands over eight race weekends and 16 races. The yellow-green Mamba also attracted attention and enabled encounters with customers and fans off the track.

Close to customers and fans

At MANN-FILTER, motorsport is not just brought to life on the race track. Every racing weekend focused on the brand experience, too. Exclusive VIP packages enabled customers to experience motorsport and the MANN-FILTER brand up close and combine exceptional performance on the race track with exceptional performance in business.

The fans were just as important. Autograph sessions and numerous yellow-green fan campaigns offered opportunities for personal encounters around the Mamba. Caps and flags turned the grandstands and fan areas yellow and green.

"For us, motorsport means more than results—it lives in the people who share our enthusiasm. Our very special thanks therefore go to every single fan who held up the MANN-FILTER flag in 2026. You turn a racing car into a Mamba and motorsport into a community," emphasizes Filippina Manou, sponsorship manager at MANN-FILTER.

Strong partners, shared passion

Special thanks also go to WINWARD Racing and Mercedes-AMG. This collaboration shows what can happen when passion, professionalism, and the shared aspiration for performance come together.

Once again, Mercedes-AMG has proven how deeply motorsport is anchored in the brand’s DNA, which is why MANN-FILTER is already looking forward to seeing the next generation of the Mercedes race car in action around the world.

And in 2027? We stay yellow-green.

After a season filled with championships, excitement, and unforgettable moments, our sights are already set on the future.

We are not revealing what MANN-FILTER has planned for the upcoming motorsport season just yet. All we will say is in 2027, the world’s race tracks will once again be yellow and green.

MAMBA MADNESS continues.
