Strong performance by MANN-FILTER at the Truck Grand Prix
Europe's best truck racers put on a genuine racing spectacle last weekend at the Nürburgring Truck Grand Prix. MANN-FILTER showed a strong presence on and off the race track. While customers and fans were given an insight into the world of filtration in the commercial vehicle segment, the Tankpool24 Racing Team celebrated one finish on the podium.
Ludwigsburg, July 14, 2025 – The Nürburgring showed its best side throughout the weekend with summery temperatures – ideal conditions for thrilling races and over 100,000 spectators who crammed into the grandstands and ensured a great atmosphere throughout the festival.

Steffen Faas achieves podium finish
As of this year, the tankpool24 Racing Team has been competing with a Freightliner truck. Steffen Faas (41, Germany), who is not only the team's driver but also the team principal, fought thrilling duels in the four races. A total of 3.629 kilometers and 11 turns required the highest concentration from drivers and their trucks. The partially MANN-FILTER branded truck not only impressed visually, but also with its strong racing performance.
On Saturday, Steffen Faas achieved podium success! He finished the first race in eleventh place overall, but the 41-year-old was able to improve in the afternoon and impressed with an overall top-10 result and a bronze medal in the Chrome ranking. The second day of racing had a few pitfalls in store for the team. In the third race, the team once again finished tenth overall, but fourth place in the Chrome ranking was not enough for a podium finish. Faas finished the final Nürburgring race in overall 13th place and secured sixth place in the Chrome ranking.
"A challenging weekend with highs and lows. We are happy that we are gradually gaining a better understanding of the Freightliner and, together with the team, are getting to grips with it better and better," summarizes Steffen Faas. "Of course, as every year, the event was the absolute highlight in the race calendar."

Filter technology put to the test – MANN FILTER impresses in races
MANN-FILTER uses its commitment to truck racing to test products under extreme conditions. Several high-performance filters are used in the family-owned company's tankpool24 Freightliner. Among them is the gold MANN-FILTER air dryer cartridge in OE quality. This filters moisture and oil particles from the compressed air and thus protects brake systems and other safety-relevant parts in truck racing.
With the podium placement at the weekend, this is absolute proof that the premium filters can withstand the toughest conditions and protect the driver and material.
Brand experience meets motorsport action
The racing weekend was accompanied by an extensive MANN-FILTER brand presentation: fan campaigns, an exclusive VIP program and many personal encounters with truck enthusiasts and partners once again made the Truck Grand Prix a highlight in the event calendar.
Filippina Manou, sponsorship manager at MANN-FILTER, on the event: "With more than 30 workshop customers from the truck sector, we have once again successfully used the event at the Nürburgring this year. Various stations have been prepared to actively involve our partners. The focus was not only on the innovative technology of the air dryer cartridges, but also on the significant difference in the daily work of a truck racing mechanic on the day of the race compared to that of an everyday mechanic. Steffen Faas’ team also gave us an exciting look behind the scenes of spare parts management at the racetrack. And then, of course, the highlight of highlights: the four races – real racing action up close. It is always an experience to see the wide eyes of our partners when the trucks take to the track. All campaigns were also supported by our social media experts, who gave our fans an exclusive digital look behind the scenes. All in all, it was a very successful event. The Truck Grand Prix is always a special spectacle!"
Next stop: Most!
Strong racing results, intensive exchange with customers and an enthusiastic audience consisting of young and old alike: MANN-FILTER’s appearance at the 2025 Truck Grand Prix was an all-round success and underlines the brand’s expertise in the commercial vehicle sector.
Steffen Faas and his racing team can look forward to a short breather before they head to Most in Czechia at the end of August for the fifth round of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship with exciting racing action.
